The Rhodes
The music of tomorrow... but even sooner. The Rhodes are four fresh-faced twenty-something year olds from Jackson Heights, Queens, who’s mod-pop brand of Rock and Soul has got girls fawning across our great American plains.
"The Rhodes are as fresh as bottled milk used to be."

“Unabashed in their love for beat music, the Rhodes bring it back with youthful vengeance.” –DJ Wavy Davy, Chronogram Magazine
Still, critics agree that The Rhodes are bluesier than The Beatles, better looking than The Beach Boys, and whiter than The Temptations.
Countless musics have shaped The Rhodes' tastes; some notable influences are Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Richard Hell and The Voidoids, Stevie Wonder, The Libertines, Chuck Berry, Ray Charles, T. Rex, and The Velvet Underground.
Their lilting four-part harmonies, minor key ballads and tough rhythm and blues make these likely lads the missing link in the evolution of popular music.
“Their style is an undeniable mix of musical influences…They manage to reference M0d…a style synonymous with bands like The Rolling Stones and The Kinks, and also today’s indie scene.”
“Their youthful faces cannot convey the immensity of their talents…the soulful sound of real pop music that snaps at your heart and catches you by the feet. You didn’t know what to call it, but you probably would have danced to it.”
“Catchy melodies, sharp, concise arrangements. Glimmering guitars and , above all, stellar harmonies. The Rhodes can sure barrel down the highway…keep your eye on them.”
“The fact that The Rhodes have put together such a committed, infectious addition to the power-pop canon, free of sampling, pitch correction, and other modern conveniences-is a marvel.”
